Fun, fun, fun in the Hot Texas Sun… NOT!

Filed under: Photos — DonnaB at 10:31 pm on Wednesday, July 23, 2008

We’ve been busy moving hay the last couple of days and let me tell you, it will wear a body down! The sameness of the trips to and from the hayfield to the hay pens, the getting in and out of the trucks and tractors, the holding your breath hoping the tires stay up on the hay buggies/trailers while traveling the rock roads with the heavy loads, oh and I did I mention the Texas sun? Oh yes, I think I did!

Here, check out the fun, won’t you?

Moving Hay

Scott and I were sick of this view

Fully loaded and at the hay pens ready to drop the bales

I’m empty! That’s Ed in the tractor moving the bales into rows in the pen as we unload.

Here comes Scott - the same kid I kept as a baby, now he is a grown man… makes me feel so old!

The last one….

….and we were both grinning!

Ed finishing up stacking… he was grinning too!

Cattle

And these critters? They will be grinning with us come winter! ;)

Oh my Lord and I complain about mowing my little yard. I don’t know much about it, is it your hay from your fields or did you have to buy it. Yep, those animals will be grinning with you when it is cold and windy and they are hungry. Be careful and don’t have a heat stroke.

By the way, those are beautiful pictures.
